We wanted to try something different so we decided to go all the way to Ma Wan just to try the Turkish sand coffee and Turkish food, I thought it was so far and I had my doubts on if it was worth going all the way just for this, but I can tell you, it was 100% worth it! 👍👍🤩🤩🤩Roast chicken and long grain rice with salad 🐓 The roast chicken was absolutely juicy and very flavorful! The sauce penetrates the meat till the bone 🍖 the sauce is very savory but also a bit tangy which was very refreshing

Pairing it with the rice to cut down some fattyness with a side of crunchy and colorful salad all together in one bite gave it a very refreshing sensation to the mouth 😋
Bean soup 🥣
The soup was very thick and creamy, the savory but velvety texture really nice to drink alone or pair with bread
Vegetarian chicken bowl 🥗
Apparently they made it themselves and it was slightly sour and salty, yet very tasty 🤤. It was very colourful and the lady said it was because she wanted to incorporate the 5 colours, appealing to our taste and sight. The different types of veggies on the bowl gave every bite a slight different texture and taste but sings harmoniously in the mouth 😍😍
Sand coffee ☕️
So the main attraction, sand coffee. I was pretty excited to see the coffee moving across the sand however when we were there, our coffee was served by a coffeeologist and he used a ceramic stove instead. I thought I would be disappointed not being able to see the sand but I was instead so impressed by his passion and the sparks on the ceramic stove that followed the path of the coffee like stars ✨ he taught us so much about coffee as he served us many different versions of coffees that depending on the brewing method and time, differed in terms of gentleness and acidity. He even taught us that tasting the coffee clockwise and anti-clockwise was different as one is more acidic the other is sweeter.
Overall,I was totally blown away by the amazing experience I had both with the food and the coffee! 💥🤯🤩🤩🤩 I would definitely come back for both even though the travel time is long for me!! 👍👍👍 They also have coffee tutorials which I might consider next time and more workshops at gooddrop online which I think I will check it out!!!
