A bit expensive for that quality

I had dinner with my friend yesterday at this new restaurant. First impression: Nice decor, but a bit cramped and noisy probably as a result of the lack of soft furniture. It was packed but not bad an atmossphere for a casual dinner of 4 women. Each of us had a soup, mine was blue crab bisque and my friends had onion soup. The crab bisque was just ok, not bad for $55. Then we ordered a house salad - a bit like caeser but no bacon, it was just OK. We had a seafood platter ($340) which has oysters

I had dinner with my friend yesterday at this new restaurant. First impression: Nice decor, but a bit cramped and noisy probably as a result of the lack of soft furniture. It was packed but not bad an atmossphere for a casual dinner of 4 women. Each of us had a soup, mine was blue crab bisque and my friends had onion soup. The crab bisque was just ok, not bad for $55. Then we ordered a house salad - a bit like caeser but no bacon, it was just OK. We had a seafood platter ($340) which has oysters, crabs, prawns and mussels, I did not like any of those. Crabs not tasty enough and oyster -- just ok, like the Australian Rocks but less tastsy and I had better ones at cheaper prices. Mussels and prawns - ok, not bad. We also had a mushroom pasta which I found rather good, but kind of heavy and creamy. We also ordered a mussel in wine sauce, which is above average and quite good. Food is slightly above average. Service was OK, attentive but not intriguing. But I would say a bit expensive consider the quality of food. A bit like Dan Ryan but more expensive and not as comfy as Dan Ryan's. I probably would not recommend to people, but for those who fancy visiting new places, you might want to give it a try for once. The plus side is atmosphere, not stuffy at least.
