First of all, I would like to mention the decor. It was a bright nicely lit room with well spaced out seating and what I assume are pieces of Vietnamese artwork on the walls; it was really pleasant and cheerful. The food itself is your standard Vietnamese fare with the usual selection of salads, spring rolls, rice paper rolls, rice dishes, and pho. I love eggplant, and the eggplant salad with shrimp did not disappoint - the soft mild eggplant and the meaty shrimp, wonderfully flavoured with garlic, chili and spring onions. The fried Vietnamese spring rolls, which you wrap and in a lettuce leaf and eat with your hands, were also delicious. The only sub par dish was the lemongrass pork rice paper rolls - the pork was quite tough and the roll as a whole was relatively bland, easily overcome with the chili sauce provided at the table, but could have been better. The chicken pho was as expected, instantly satisfying any carb and savoury cravings.
