lunch with my best friend xxAs I am going to be living near this district for a few weeks, I am planning to try out different food around this area to make everything fulfilled Was lazy to go out that early and so called my friend over to have lunch. As I am going to be living near this district for a few weeks, I am planning to try out different food around this area to make everything fulfilled Was lazy to go out that early and so called my friend over to have lunch. Walked around East Point Center and decided to stop by at the Spaghetti House for lunch It wasn't as packed as those other more Chinese-centered cafes like Cafe de Coral and Maxims and so we just went in casually!
The waitress was very attentive and was very kind as well. She approached as immediately after we sat down at a table we chose and offered us the choice of hot/warm/cold water. The water arrived right after the greetings and she passed us the menu and recommended us a few dishes. As my friend and I studied at an international school, we just automatically spoke in English and the waitress, unbelievably, switched to English instead of Cantonese to continue her recommendations. We thought this was very thoughtful but we told her that we can speak Canto, and so she left us time to decide what we want.
Being very traditional, I ordered Carbonara and my friend ordered the Beef Bolognaise. The food arrived really fast, or probably cause I was chatting with my best friend haha, but yeah it arrived in about 10 mins or so. My carbonara was very rich in taste with the sauce and was indeed quite cheezy The taste is good as it was very very rich in taste with the onion and ham to accompany the spaghetti. The portion is very large, maybe just that its too big for a simply lunch ahahaha.
Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant was good and very clean. The lighting was very comforting and it was not noisy possibly cause the tables were neatly spread out and felt free haha. The servicing is just absolutely lovely because once my cup reaches the "half level", one waiter will definitely appear beside you and pour it to full again. My friend and I drank about 6 or 7 cups due to this reason as well hahhhha.
