After a long hour of hiking today, we were both tired and hungry. Both of us suggested to have buffet so that we can eat as much as we can to satisfy our hunger. After some research at those restaurants nearby, we decided on Zijia Shaoba. It was located at Camel Paint Building, where alot of restaurants were located. They have 3 pricing, deciding on the timing customer enter the restaurant. It was a 2-hour unlimited dinner buffet, with order sheet for desserts, fried items, vegetables and some special snacks.
All of their drinks and ice-cream were placed outside for us to take ourselves. They do have some cooked items outside for us to take as well. As for their BBQ items, they offered a wide range of food such as beef, chicken, pork, lamb, meat balls and vegetables etc.
C+ soft drink was gassy and sweet, just nice after a long day of hiking. As for their ice cream, they offered several flavours such as chocolate, coffee, mala, mango and sea salt etc. Chocolate flavour was strong in cocoa taste, served cold and hard as well.
Curry fishball was bigger than usual, and was chewy and juicy, with slight curry taste. Ribs was chewy and flavourful. easily chewed off from the ribs.
Chicken nuggets and prawn rolls were fried till chewy and crispy, and those sauce provided helped to enhance the taste.
We planned to go for those BBQ meat as those balls were pretty common. We took chicken, pork, beef and duck. The electric stove was convenient in a way that the skewers will rotate automatically so that we need not flip ourselves and the meat will be BBQ evenly. Even though it was buffet style, the quality of the meat was quite good. It was juicy and chewy, with few sauce provided for us to spread onto the meat to enhance the taste.
Sliced watermelon were juicy and sweet, helping to quench my thirst too.
Surprisingly they do offered Taiwanese taro dessert. Taro paste was thick and sticky in texture, very filling. Those toppings such as yam ball, taro ball, bubble and jelly were chewy and soft, going well with the taro paste.
