My best friend selected this Italian restaurant for my birthday dinner and it was a delightful and joyful night there. The set was a semi buffet which the restaurant offered free flow of a selection seafood & appetiser. We loved the oysters as it was not that kind of very meaty, creamy oyster but crunchy and light. It was freshly opened when we ordered that so it was very tasty.
For the seafood, Mussels & clams are fresh and were in great quality while the prawn were slightly over cooked. I like the way they cut the Canadian Whelk, seasoned them mayo and other spices and served in a shot glass. This's shown that they thought through the experience as Canadian Whelk are basically tasteless.
Of course, there salad bar was good too! Besides the fresh and crunchy veggie and salad choices, The cold cuts were great as well especially the Parma ham, it was so smoky and fragrant but without the weird taste of the aged, dried ham. I like the baby octopus salad as well as it was not a usual item for the other restaurants.
Besides the above, there were also unlimited barbecued rib eye steak and lamb shrank. I don't usually eat beef so I had quite a few slices of lamb. Tender, juicy and fresh! It is really hard to achieve this kind of texture while the chef needed to cook through the shrank. Love it!
As it was a semi buffet, the set came with a main course for each customer and we ordered Spicy Salami Pizza, Pork Shoulder in apple sauce and lobster spaghetti. Pork Shoulder was so tender and juicy, the apple sauce balance out the taste of the savoury, meaty taste of the pork shoulder while brought out the charred taste of the slightly barbecued outside of it.
The lobster spaghetti was good too, pasta was al dente, tomato sauce was great as it was not very sour and light, but to make it perfect, the lobster should be cooked a few mins less.
Surprisingly, the pizza was a problem. Might be the chemical reaction between the black olive and the cheese, it had a very distinct pungent which might not be accepted by everyone, we didn't find that work very well so it was not suggested.
Selection of dessert can be improved but there was still enough choices of fresh cut fruit so it was good enough!
We have chosen free flow wine package and the white wine was pretty good, refreshing and light. Good for going together with the dinner.

题外话/补充资料:
Staffs were very helpful and nice, wine and water were frequently topped up, table was kept tidy all the time but the receptionist service need to be improved as she was very stubborn and had a strict, unfriendly face all the time. Also, we arrived 30 mins earlier and we didn't want to walk around as we were quite tired, she insisted that we can't go in before 6pm. She can just let us in, have a sit and let us know the buffet will start at 6pm but she didn't, even the manager asked her to do so. I can't see any reason for that and in the end, we were taken care by the manager himself, may be that's why her face was long for the whole night just because she lost her face. Manager and the rest of the staffs were great but 3 stars only for the service just because of the receptionist.
