After two hours of vigorous exercise in POC, 3 of us decided to look for new restaurant in Causeway Bay. As we were all hungry, we set our target to World Trade Centre in CWB, which is the closest to POC. This is a Vietnamese restaurant. There is also a branch in the Gateway, Tsim Sha Tsui. We were very lucky that we had a table of six, not because this restaurant was not busy. The fact was that part of the sofa was wet and nobody wanna sit there. Hence, we took the advantage of enjoying our dinner on a large table and sofa. I highly recommend to reserve a table for six with sofa. Large space and comfortable. There are also tables for two but the space is very limited. The table size is small too. The interior designer has just made use of the long corridor for more tables. You may dine with the harbour view at the table beside the large window curtain. You have to stand with the noise. My ears were blasted by laughing next to us.
Taste:
We had the following dishes:
- deep fried butter chicken wings
- pomelo (grapefruit salad with dried shrimps)
- crispy soft shell crabs rice paper rolls
- lettuce chinoise with fresh fish sauce
- stir fried noodle with beef satay
- confit of duck with turmeric rice
- mango pudding with sago (photo attached)
The chicken wings were very yummy. I like crispy food and prefer more crisp for all deep-fried food. The chicken wings were up to my standard. But that doesn't mean that it's similar to KFC's for KFC's chicken wings lose all the taste of chicken after deep-frying. Strong taste of chicken was still found in Rice Paper chicken wings. Another recommendation is the rice roll. Actually, I think crispy soft shell crab is universal for any type of appetizers. Easy to digest and stimulate your appetite. The rice is also worth a try for those who don't mind a bit "rich" rice. The mango pudding is a weird dessert. I can find sago, mango but no pudding!! Anyway, it is tasty.
Service:
The manning of the restaurant is appropriate. The utensils were put in an orderly manner.
Price:
We ended up with $600. It's not cheap. But I think it's worth a try.
Cleanliness:
I have to deduct marks for the sofa was wet as I mentioned earlier, though we took this "disadvantage" to get a larger table.
