A gathering was held at this restaurant after my friend and her husband have flew back here to celebrate her mother’s 80th birthday. To complement the meal, the dancing sangria was ordered, which was a jar of fruit flavored iced drink without much taste of wine.

The skin of the roasted pig was fairly crispy however the pork was not as flavorful as expected. The sauce provided was very similar to a gravy for the steak, which was not a good match for pork.

The steak was the highlight of the meal. It was tender and juicy with a slight hint of saltiness, which brought out the flavor of the steak.

The fish provided was eel and the portion was generous. The bread was crispy and the eel was decently grilled and seasoned with a teriyaki-like sauce providing a satisfying bite of this fish sandwich.

The paella was a passable option. The shrimps, mussels, clams and calamari were adequate but lacked the wow factor from such a renowned dish.

For a sweet ending to our meal, a serving of churros was ordered. The churros were golden on the outside and doughy on the inside and accompanied by a luscious espresso chocolate sauce and a scoop of creamy ice cream. The combination of flavors and textures was a delightful indulgence.
