For those of you who are pining for an authentic curry, look no further! I was thoroughly impressed by this place. After a 3-hour movie at a nearby cinema, we trekked over to Anjappar. We had to wait a while before we were seated as it was quite busy that evening.The restaurant was spacious and well lit. We were sensitive to the cold and the staff was ever so patient in allowing us to try out different tables to find the least chilly seats to place ourselves.We ordered a butter chicken masala

I was thoroughly impressed by this place.
After a 3-hour movie at a nearby cinema, we trekked over to Anjappar. We had to wait a while before we were seated as it was quite busy that evening.
The restaurant was spacious and well lit. We were sensitive to the cold and the staff was ever so patient in allowing us to try out different tables to find the least chilly seats to place ourselves.
We ordered a butter chicken masala, a mixed veg curry, a portion of plain naan and a butter dosa under the recommendation of the helpful waitress.
The butter dosa came first. It looked and tasted exactly like how it tastes back home (home being England). It came with four dips. We weren’t sure what they were exactly but I loved all of them!

The naan and the two curries then followed. Again, tasted like the curry cooked by my Indian friends and the restaurants they took me to back in England. I’ve had Indian curry elsewhere in Hong Kong and they were pretty good too, but there’s something about the curry here that sets itself above all the other places I’ve been to so far. My personal opinion of course.
Aromatic, authentic, I just love it!

I thought I would prefer the chicken one but the veggie one tasted great too. The chicken masala had a stronger flavour but the veggie one had a kick to it too. Definitely recommend it to vegetarians.
