I yearned for this Friday night since early this week not because of any prior planning on this specific date, but a temporary break in this hectic week. Going to work is tiring, A lot more demanding than studying in college, when you may even CREATE holidays for yourself without submitting a sick leave! Today I searched the area of North Point on openrice and unintentionally discovered this restaurant supplying unlimted korean BBQ ($158+10%) per person. OMG, I thought the price is acceptable and in fact similar with those in Mongkok. I followed the GPS but still missed the restaurants for few times as it is located on the 1st floor of a building
At around 7pm, there were not many people. This second part of restaurant was not opened. However, 5-6 tables were already occupied by groups of people. We noticed some aisle seats near to the windows. The aisles are characterized by the wood grids. They remind me of true korean restaurant I visited in Korea.
About food choice------------------------------
The buffet area is located at the entrance of the restauarnt. It is not very big.
What I appreciate most is the clear categorisation of food.
On the long table, you will find all cold dishes placed on the left corner.
There are more than 10 choices in salted veggies (including cabbages, turnip, fried mixed veggies etc.)
On the right hand side there are loads of meat. You may find rows of cow, pork and seafood. I was impressed by the provision of Pork jowl and some rare parts of cow there. However, there are indeed less than 10 choices of seafood. 多春鱼, shrimps &墨鱼仔are luckily found!!!!!!!!
About Taste------------------------------
Kimbap is a must in traditional korean dishes.
They were presented in a pyramid, beautifully here.
Sadly they are dry, tasteless even stuffed with colorful ingredients.
I guess they have properly prepared and refrigerated the kimbap before...
I think most of the meat are quite fresh. And you may notice the meat quality there are quite good. At least there are not too much fat for the meat and they are in healthy red. Seafood are not so well marinated. I recommended Pork jowl （猪颈肉） !
They are cripsy and sweet! I can't stop swallowing more XP~~
As mentioned, they provided a lot of cold dishes. I tried every type of cold dishes and found them all acceptable. But don't grab too many kimchi, they are not that great when compared to those non-traditional cold dishes here. You can try spicy korean rice cake though!
The reason why this korean buffet costs around $200 for each is because of drinks.They do NOT provide drinks except tea and 人参鸡汤 （which tastes ordinary according to my friend). As eating korean BBQ meat is always a sweating experience, many other customers ordered a jar of soft drinks like 菊花茶~
