i have not been to LKF for a very long time. This time, I have had a gathering with my friend and he has booked a table in Lily & Bloom. I hoped this dinner will not turn me down.This high-ceiling American style restaurant was classy and relaxed, with wine glasses were hung up as decorations in the center of the restaurant. Having a dim light and cozy decorations, it made the customers as if in a classic mansion. The relaxing environment in the restaurant provided a nice environment for friend
When we have reached the restaurant, we could clearly see its logo on the wall, which helped customers to note that they have already arrived the restaurant. Also, the dim light in the door front provided customers a sense of romance and mysterious, especially with classy and modern decorations. The tables in the restaurant was quite spacious that they were not closely packed together. It created great comfort to the customers. The above are the manu of the restaurant We have chosen the smocked salmon flatbread. When the food was served, we could see the flatbread was covered with a lot of smocked salmon (the salmon nearly covered the whole flatbread) and arugula. Being a salmon lover, the food was appealing in no doubt. The size of the Smocked Salmon Flatbread was suitable for around two to four people. It was of moderate temperature that was neither too hot or cold to be served. When the flatbread was first served, the crispy flatbread undoubtedly was the first to catch your attention. The salmon, on the other hand, was smooth and soft, which helped blend with the crunchy flatbread. The taste of the salmon was fresh and it is just well-smocked. Together with arugula and fresh grapes covered on top of salmon, it made the whole flatbread to become fresher and less meaty. At first, I thought the smocked salmon flatbread would only have a limited amount of salmon on it. However, when the dish was served, it was totally different from what I have imaged that there was a lot of salmon! I was so much impressed indeed. The dish is a tomato soup that contained a variety of seafood, such as clam, crab, salmon, mussels and shrimp etc. A cheesy garlic bread was served in the dish as well. When the food was served, we can already smell of fragrance of rich tomato sauce, which is very appetizing. The Cioppino was delivered when it was first cooked. So, it was quite hot and it felt especially good when it was in winter.The seafood was well cooked that all of them were not over-cooked. Therefore, it was not too rubbery but tender and smooth.The garlic bread was very rich in cheese, that matched with the taste of garlic a lot. The soup was well seasoned that could help bring the freshness of the seafood. Specifically, I love the crab in the dish, which is not over-cooked and that it tasted sweet, tender and juicy.
Overall speaking, the environment and decoration of the restaurant impressed me most. To be honest, when comparing with other western food, my inclination was never towards the Americans as I thought American food was not as delicate as other western food, such as the French one. However, this restaurant was totally different from what I have believed. With elegant environment, friendly staffs and great variety of mouthwatering cuisines in the restaurant, I believe it would be a good choice for people who would like to have fine dining, especially before chilling with friends in LKF.
