My departure from England a year ago did create a deep yearning for peaceful night life in HK.I recalled the moments ordering a glass of wine habitually after a decent meal in a restaurant. They got a 3-4 pages menu for drinks while HK restauarants often neglect a range of beverages. As a girl, the reason why I enjoy a bit of alcohol after meals is simple: I want to sit longer with my friends and open our hearts to share true thoughts. As a girl, the reason why I enjoy a bit of alcohol after meals is simple: I want to sit longer with my friends and open our hearts to share true thoughts. It's the perfect time to take off our masks.
In this mid-Autumn festival I accompanied a friend who is from Beijing (+back from UK) and is now working in HK. He had Over-time work and encountered a congestion in KLT MTR station. I stood still in front of the exit H to wait for him. I examined the restaurants featuring in iSquare. All in a sudden I discovered an unfamiliar name: Eyebar
I did some homework in Openrice. The general description of this bar is : It is situated on 30th floor, within 南海一号. I guess it's worth to have a try.
Some forigners and locals did. They assembled around a small table, mostly with their cameras. The two guys sitting next to us also brought mooncake and ordered food from the restaurant. They ordered 烧乳鸽 with beer, praising the taste of the dishes.
6pm-9pm is the happy hour, some wine got 30% off while beer are served in half-price ($30, should be). They served nuts with chilli. When I asked for extra nuts they said we have to pay $25 more.
The waiter asked me to try the wine first. It's the typical white wine taste I tried in England.
Not very irritating. The coldness of the wine did brighten me up from a day of tiring work.
My friend asked me how do I feel working in Hong Kong. I replied : Very stressful. I don't know what makes me stay here. Perhaps it's the galmour of this city?
