I have lived in Fo Tan for 17 years and never did I expect a place like this to exist in Fo Tan, let alone in the middle of industrial buildlings and factories. I am too impressed with this discovery (well credits to Yahoo), that I have decided to write my very first openrice entry to show my respect to the owner to open such an amazing place here! As I can't read maps to save my life, I actually stumbled upon the cafe through an industrial building and I ended up walking in the cafe through the
As I can't read maps to save my life, I actually stumbled upon the cafe through an industrial building and I ended up walking in the cafe through the back door...So heads up for those who want to get through the main entrance, like normal people do, remember to walk along Fo Tan Road and not along Au Pui Wan Street like I did.
I was greeted with surprise to find the whole cafe was in fact full when I came in. The whole place is filled with vintage decor from different countries and it was interesting to see it all in one place.
baked beans - served cold which I personally don't prefer but nonetheless good baked beans
chicken sausages - would have been happier if it was pork sausages but hey ho, this is hk afterall..
2 sunny side up eggs, bacon, ham, buttered buns - pretty normal.
mini salad - this I was very surprised about. I don't really know which vinaigrette they used but it was slightly salty and really refreshing!
The latte art I got given was a smiling sun was very apt for a sunny day like today! The rose aroma was very strong and this was just as good as any other cafes I have been to. I did expect it to be a little cheaper but since the quality was much better than I expected so I guess I am not going to complain.
On a different note, the menu was placed in a plastic holder so when you order, the staff would use a marker pen to note your order for you to pay after the meal. I thought this was a very nice idea and very eco-friendly!
题外话/补充资料:
This cafe does allow dogs so this gives dog haters something to think about!
