It was a warm sunny and I was in a mood of having a cup of milk tea in Tsim Sha Tsui. There are many places for good coffee in the area, but when it comes to milk tea, I can't think of many places. I can't remember how many times I have visited but whenever I come, the milk tea never fails me. First of all, the colour and the texture are right. It was not too dark because of excessive tea nor too light because of too much milk. It was smooth as a cup of milk tea should be. The container was also a replica from traditional teahouse. I believe this thick cup is the best match for milk tea.
Since I prefer hot drinks, I seldom order the iced one even in summer. However, the iced milk tea is also a must-try item. In ordinary Hong Kong style cafes, people usually put ice into the milk tea and call it iced milk tea, well, fair enough, but it will dilute the taste of the milk tea when it melts. This restaurant puts iced milk tea cube into your cup instead of pure ice
, which prevents dilution. You are guaranteed the last sip of your drink is the same as the first one!

I didn't order the restaurant's choice because this toast is my childhood memory
. When I was small, it was the best food for tea time. This toast really resembled the one I used to have. The milk and peanut butter was not spread evenly, but after using a knife to spread it yourself, you would find that the filling was more than enough. Also, the toast was chrunchy but not too hard.

It is true that there are more Mandarian speaking tourists now in the restaurants but I don't see any problems, because every one was so busy looking at the walls and digging into their food.
This place is decorated with a lot of albums of Alan Tam, a famous singer since the 70s. Of course, this place is not comparable with the Hardrock, where there are exhibits of world stars over the century. If you want to learn more about the pop culture of the 70s' Hong Kong, it can be a place for reference.

Though the price of the food is not really that cheap, it is still economic for people who want to experience the food culture of hoi polloi. After all, this restaurant is at the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui.
