ENISHI is a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant located in Pottinger Street, Sheung Wan, run by a husband and wife team who believe in connecting people through food. The restaurant has 11 bar seats and a few tables, with an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.
The chef showed us all the ingredients before starting, including fresh Boston lobster, A5 wagyu sirloin, etc., making us feel their respect and passion for food. Each dish was carefully prepared and presented in front of us, allowing us to enjoy a feast of sight and taste.
Salad: Broccoli and rocket salad tossed with a rich sesame dressing, refreshing and appetizing, not greasy.
Appetizer: A small mashed potato with a crispy potato chip on top, rich in texture.
Crab chawanmushi: The restaurant used crab shells as containers, filled with chewy crab meat and smooth egg custard, each bite had a rich crab flavor, very memorable.
Teppanyaki
Boston lobster: The chef first cut the lobster open, removed the viscera, then fried the lobster meat on the iron plate until golden, and drizzled with a special sauce, fragrant.
The lobster meat was tender and juicy, melt-in-your-mouth, and delicious with the sauce.
A5 wagyu sirloin
The wagyu sirloin was seasoned with salt and pepper, then quickly fried on the iron plate to medium rare, retaining the juice and fat. The wagyu sirloin was tender and rich in oil, delicious without any sauce.
Teppanyaki fried rice: The chef used a lot of garlic slices and rice to stir-fry quickly on the iron plate, then added ingredients such as eggs and green peas, making a bowl of fragrant fried rice.
The fried rice was grainy, each bite had the garlic and egg flavor, very satisfying.
Miso soup: Light and sweet, with a few pieces of tofu and seaweed, can balance the greasiness of the previous dishes.
