My visit to this wine bistro with my partner left us feeling extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. We weren’t notified about any customer polices regarding stay duration or additional purchases. However, the manager’s/owner's behaviour added to our discomfort. She repeatedly walked by our table, paying excessive attention to our unfinished wine glasses and even collecting our half-used napkins. It felt unnecessary and gave us the impression that she wanted us to order more or leave.
To our surprise, we overheard a conversation between the manager/owner and another customer (who was sitting literally next to our table), discussing customers who linger after ordering only one or two glasses of wine. We were taken aback when the customer gestured towards our table, expressing curiosity about how the owner handles such situations – which made us feel even more uncomfortable.
We understand that every establishment has its own policies and considerations but it would have been helpful if we were informed about any time restrictions or expectations when we arrived. This way, we would have been able to make informed decisions about our visit.
