Ginko House is a social enterprise that supports employment of elderly in Hong Kong. I tried quite a number of their grocery items, which are pre-made frozen food and ready to eat upon reheating. They were all so tasty! And that’s why my friend and I would like to have a proper meal at their restaurant. There are several branches of Ginko House restaurants, each has its own signature cuisine. There was rain during the day, and we were blessed with a clearer sky in the evening to see this amazing view from the restaurant.

We got to enjoy unlimited salad at the salad bar, soup, rice and dessert upon ordering one main dish each. All the salad bar items are organically grown in Ginko House’s farm in Hong Kong. The cherry tomatoes were so sweet, and the veggies were very fresh and crispy! I am not a fan of veggies, but I adored these greens dearly with a bit of black vinegar and sesame dressing.

Stewed Chicken & Cured Meat with Organic Ginger Sauce Pot

This pot of gourmet was absolutely amazing! The stewed chicken was so flavored and tender, and the cured meat topped up the flavor of the whole pot even more. Best of all, the food was not salty at all and we were not thirsty throughout the meal. A very delicious and homey dish.

Boneless Smoked Duck (half) with Hot & Spicy Mala Sauce

My friend and I also ordered a half Boneless Smoked Duck. The portion was really generous, and we came prepared with lunch boxes to take some home. The smoked duck was meaty with a layer of crispy skin. The mala sauce wasn’t really hot or spicy, more like an aromatic dressing to top up the flavor.
