Everything Korean has taken the world by storm. A long time ago, Korean food could only be found in Tsim Sha Tsui's Korean Street. But since than, Korean food has expanded from all areas of Hong Kong. You can find anything from Korean BBQ to desserts. And now you can find it in Soho in the form of street food.

But when one thinks of Soho, you think ... must cost a lot. Surprisingly this place is very affordable.

Seoul Bros is located on Hollywood Road, near a lot of very hip places like Ho Lee Fook. It's got a bright flashy sign with a hip name. Seoul Bros. How hip is that. The interior is also very clean with bench like tables facing the streets below and a larger center table to give a communal eating feel. You pay at the cashier and they'll call your number when the food is ready. Everything is made to order. It's very self service. Menu is in English only. Prices are not expensive. I would say everything is under $50 and you can even do combo sets for $78. Boyfriend and I ordered combo two sets to share which meant we ate everything from the menu minus the quesadilla. Set A included spicy corn salad, kimchi fries, banh mi (added $5 to upgrade to shrimp banh mi) and a soft drink. Set B included fried chicken (we chose sweet and sour), bibimbap (we chose beef) and a soft drink. Your order is presented on nice wooden trays that appeals to me who likes pretty things.

Beef Bibimbap. They have three types of bibimbap: beef, Spam and tuna. We chose beef. We added cheese (extra $3) and nori (extra $3). It came in a paper bowl.

Upon mixing it up, it looked like this. I liked it a lot. It wasn't spicy so if you are expecting it to be more spicy, then this may not be for you. I'm unsure if they have hot sauce but they probably do. Size portion was pretty good and enough for the two of us to share. The cheese and nori is really a must need upgrade as it made the rice taste better. The beef was moist and not tough and was marinaded in a pretty good sauce.

Shrimp Banh Mi. As the set only include chicken, beef or tofu (yay for vegetarian options!) with an extra $5 for shrimp. So, we chose shrimp. This was a pretty good Korean style banh mi. The bun was toasted  and hot. The shrimp was a decent size and tasted fresh. There was a nice mix of spicy kimchi, pickled daikon and spring onions.

As sets, the sides were in mini size portions. Almost like a sampler size. If you don't go with the sets, the sides are full portion sizes.

Spicy Corn Salad. This was really spicy so I only had a little bit. But it was a nice mix of sweet corn and firey spicy heat from the jalepenos tossed inside.

Kimchi Fries. The fries were hot and crispy on the outside with nice soft centers. The kimchi cheese sauce was cheesy and a bit spicy but not too much. I wish there was more sauce as it just wasn't enough to cover all the fries.

Fried Chicken. You can choose sweet and sour or sweet and spicy as the sauce. The sauce was really good and reminded me of the sweet and sour sauce that is found at the ghetto Korean fried chicken place in Sham Shiu Po's Dragon Center food court called 皇帝鸡 which I consider one of the best sweet and sour Korean fried chicken places in Hong Kong. The chicken had no bones and was moist and pretty delicious. The sauce was the perfect blend of sticky sweetness.

Nice thing to point out, when you order a soft drink, they give you a cup full of ice along with your can of soft drink to keep your drink cold throughout your meal. I think that's a nice touch and something I don't find anywhere else in Hong Kong unless of course, you are in an actual sit down restaurant with 10% service charge. Definitely not at fast food places. It felt like I was in Japan or Korea where they actually remember those little details that are taken for granted.
