On the Saturday afternoon, the 3 of us wanted a bite after movie in late afternoon. Walking along v city and see this newly open beef noodle soup place. So we decided to try that. The restaurant wasn't in it full capacity, still have some free seats around, a few tables are free but when we ask for a table for 3 the staff offered us to share a table with other customer or we need to wait. Puzzling why not give us one of the free table, we decided to wait for a table for ourselves, however they ended us giving those smaller table out to the customer after us without waiting for the table next to the empty table finishes so they can combine the table for us, we ended up waiting around 20min before getting seats.
Then we actually ended up have to share the table due to the long wait...
The staff wasn't the most welcoming nor the most attentive bunch, after we order we got the beef brisket and tendon noodle pretty fast.
Both the brisket and tendon are tender and tasty, the noodle is chewy and nice, however to me a good beef noodle soup really boiled down to the soup base. The soup have a strong Chinese herbs favour which is very nice however it is overly salty, really just too salty for my liking.
Then we do ordered a Taiwanese minced beef rice with braised pig feet, spicy oil dumpling and braised combo (chicken wing, tofu, beef shank slices and pig ear)
I would not recommend the spicy oil dumping, it's not spicy at all but quite sweet which is quite weird. The pig feet are tender and tasty. The braised combo have the same problem with the noodle, salty... too salty.
Overall, I think it's ok some of the dish are good but too salty. With the staff being inattentive and the seating ain't the nicest, I think if I'm not really desperate for Taiwanese food around the area, I probably won't go back again.
