My parents and I arrived at 1300 on a very relaxing Sunday. Surprisingly, only a few tables were occupied. Initial impression was that the restarant had old decor, nontheless the whole environment was very relaxing. There was a choice between sitting in front of the Teppanyaki grill, the sushi bar, or in the main dining area. Our table was one of the three that were isloated in the middle, secluded by high walls and so it was very private.Set lunches are much more "dai" and ordering separately.
Set lunches are much more "dai" and ordering separately. We ordered a grilled beef set, a sashimi + tempura + grilled cod bento and a beef teppanyaki set. I don't remember the exact names, sorry. Both beef sets came with three varieties of sashimi. It was definitely fresh. No complaints about that. My main course, the grilled beef was very "un" and had a lot of "gun". The beef teppanyaki was very tender and cooked very well to order (medium rare) and with red juices still in it. I didn't get the chance to try the bento box.
HSBC Platinum cardholders get 20% off and the bill came to about $1100 after the discount. For the same price, I would go to Nadaman but it is still not a bad choice on the Kowloon side.
