The weather observatory said that the weather was going to get cold so I decided to have hot pot with my friend that night. My friends talked a lot about this famous hotpot place because it is cheap and the food quality is not bad. There were not a lot of people when I went in because it was only 6:30 but once it reached 7pm, the restaurant was almost full. We sat down and went to get our drink first. Very soon, our appetizer which was the spicy chicken pot arrived. Apparently we need to stir it

We sat down and went to get our drink first. Very soon, our appetizer which was the spicy chicken pot arrived. Apparently we need to stir it 4 times before it is ready to eat. The staff came to help us as there were not a lot of people yet. The chicken pot smelled so good, we only asked for tiny spicy and it was prefect flavour for us. The chicken pieces were tender and juicy. They were so delicious that you just want more. Later on, the staff helped us to put the octopus inside as well; the octopus was so yummy with the spicy sauce, the texture was crunchy. When we were about to finish, the staff asked us if we want to refill and we said no as we were half full.
While we were waiting for the crab hot pot, a plate of sashimi arrived. I was shocked because there were just so much food. The sashimi were fresh and soft. They were in thick cut as well.
We also received a small bowl of Chinese transitional chicken soup, it was full of ingredients and was delicious! I only managed to drink the soup but not the ingredients because I had so much chicken already.
The steamed clam with vermicelli was tasty. The clam was juicy and big; it tasted very good with the garlic and vermicelli. There were just so much food before eating the main thing which was the crab hot pot.
The crab hotpot finally arrived and it came with lots of other things. Let's talk about the crab hotpot first, there was one crab inside and it was meaty. The soup was quite tasty.
There were lots of beef, they were presented nicely on a bowl and very easy to pick up. The texture was tender and juicy. It didn't need to cook for long.
The seafood platter contained a variety of seafood such as fresh fish fillets, clams, razor clams, shrimp, octopus and abalone. The abalone was soft and easy to chew. The shrimp was sweet and meaty. The clams and razor clams were yummy.
The fried bean curds were crispy and tasted very good after absorbing all the soup.
The meat balls were meaty and crunchy. All the dumplings were delicious, they were all very big and full of ingredients. I like the dumpling with shrimp the most, the pastry was so smooth.
The vegetables were fresh and sweet.
I actually couldn't finish all the food but before we go, the staff gave us dessert. It was steamed milk with a bit of swallow's nest. The milk was so smooth and tasty. I could see a tea spoon of swallow's nest on the top.
