WA-Theater Restaurant is omakase restaurant located in Sai Kung, at The Pier Hotel. It is quite far, but it its worth visitting! The atmosphere inside is very relaxing and elegant, just what you need if you want to have a special evening and enjoy omakase. You will be welcomed with a hot tea, made using Shirakami Sanchi Water. This water is even used in soups there, because of its unique and soft taste.
Then the most important part starts, chef comes to the the kitchen and we start tasting some foods.
First course had 3 different foods. Walnut tofu, crab meat with fried lotus root balls and shrimp with abalone, scallops topped by sesame tofu sauce and placed in persimmon. All three of them has own unique taste and amazing mix of flavors, but my favourite was crab meat. That meat was so fresh and juicy, also fried lotus root adds very nice taste.
Next part is sashimi. I must say that i really like sashimi, so i was very happy to come here and try some sashimi here. This course had 4 kinds of sashimi.. tuna, octopus, deep sea fish, golden threadfin bream. All of them are so fresh and melts in your mouth. I like tuna very much and this place has one of the best tuna sashimi i had.
Next one I had oyster. It will sound funny but all this set was just perfect for me, because i had everything i really like to eat and oysters are one of them. The taste was so good, rich in flavor, creamy. Even right now writing this, makes me want to come again and have more of this.
Time has come to try some meat. It was A5 wagyu sirloin. Meat was so juicy and tasty. Even its meat, it also was just melting in my mouth.
Next is soup. It was a good soup with fresh roe and mushrooms. As i said before this soup is made on Shirakami Sanchi spring water. Roe was very tasty, creamy and soft. I finished this soup in seconds not leaving even single drop.
After i finished my soup, some sushi were waiting for me already. I had tiger shrimp, hairy crab, and some fish. These were not special as everything else but still tasty and fresh.
As my dessert I got tasty pudding with a fresh slice of melon which is so juicy, makes you feel like you are drinking it instead of eating.
Overall I should say it was amazing evening and experience, I enjoyed everything I had. It is pricey but worth it. If you want to have good omakase experience, you should try come here, despite of its location, because you will enjoy as I did too! Big thanks to the chef and staff there, really had a good time there!
