Amazing food, Wonderful staff...

I don’t usually write on these sites but i felt i had to set up an account to share my experience at Dan Dan Soul Food, as the food and the owners deserve it. I have been going for several months now and every time does not disappoint. Their food is exceptional. I often had to go to the deepest darkest side of Hong Kong to get good Sichuan food but now its come to HK Island in the heart of the City. I don’t usually write on these sites but i felt i had to set up an account to share my experience at Dan Dan Soul Food, as the food and the owners deserve it. I have been going for several months now and every time does not disappoint. Their food is exceptional. I often had to go to the deepest darkest side of Hong Kong to get good Sichuan food but now its come to HK Island in the heart of the City. To top it off Jerome and his wife are wonderful people that provide excellent service, with minimal waiting time. I often go for the Tender Beef Noodle Soup Mini/Regular spice, its pretty amazing, add in the Sichuan pepper, which you can find on the table, for that extra numbing spice and flavour. Its my go to meal, although i have had other dishes and every one of them is exceptional. Their Dumplings come with fantastic vinaigrette, i recommend to have that with the chilli, it doesn’t make it too spicy it just adds to the wonderful flavours. The Cucumber Salad on the side is also great and refreshing and once again is accompanied with a tasty vinaigrette. To top off the meal, the light Swiss beer that Jerome orders in goes perfectly with the noodles. I pretty much feel the need to go atleast once a week and i don’t live or work anywhere near their shop...totally worth the effort though. Slightly hidden away off Queens Road Central, its a nice ambience and the increase in customers over the past few months is truly deserved. Fantastic dining experience, i would highly recommend to anyone. N.B. Don’t forget to give them a little tip before you leave, they thoroughly deserve it and they don’t add service charge to your bill.
