I chose the most expensive Japanese black-haired Wagyu beef buffet ($289) for my meal. I have never tried the most expensive hot pot buffet before, so I decided to give it a try, especially since this restaurant has received many positive reviews and seems to be popular during both lunch and dinner hours. The buffet lasted for 90 minutes, during which I could enjoy unlimited servings of vegetables, drinks and ice cream. Compared to other buffets, the drink selection was limited, with only a few canned beverages and the fruit juice options were not to my taste.
I chose a pot of Italian tomato and cheese soup and a pot of medicinal herb spicy hot pot. The tomato soup had a unique flavor and was quite tasty, but the spicy hot pot was not to my liking and tasted a bit strange.
The main attraction was the beef, and the premium Wagyu beef had a beautiful color and a distinct beef flavor. Another unique feature was the inclusion of slightly more expensive vegetables, such as kale. The ice cream was Haagen-Dazs but was not individually packaged, so it was challenging to dish out and the remaining portion was minimal.
Overall, it was a decent meal, but if I want to try another Wagyu beef hot pot, I would like to explore another restaurant.
