Partnering with Laurent Bakery that adheres to French traditions in making ordinary yet fully flavored sourdough bread, the nosh extends to their budding pastisserie Sil Vous Plait, who also contributes to its aestheticism by serving wonderful french pastries such as polenta pound cake, quiche lorraine, the creatively nailed éclair sandwiches and decadent sweet finger puffs.
Some signatures are chocolate chili, mango pepper, whilst personally I adore banoffee and sweet potato the most. Stuffed with banana puree and mashed sweet potato respectively, having a little custard mixed in to add that creamy texture, both the éclairs retain crisp and light of an ordinary choux pastry. These are such a good feed to pair with their organic tea, Italian soft drinks and Spanish fruit juice.
After all, I promise this to be the best retreat from the city where the finest craftsmanship begins.
