I have a deep affection for bagels, of which it is the chewy texture that fascinates me the most.I have been searching for and trying some popular bagel places in HK. I reckon not many Starbucks sell bagels and even if they do, there are not many choices. The Starbucks in Alexandra House has 5 kinds of bagels, with the compliment of 4 choices of cream cheese. I ordered a blueberry bagel with smoked salmon cream cheese.
Blueberry Bagel with Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese ($35)
🥯The portion is generous, which serves well for a quick lunch.
🥯The small bits of blueberries contribute a hint of sweetness to the bagel. The bagel has a chewy crust and soft interior.
🧀The cream cheese spread contains small chunks of smoked salmon, onions and chives and it is flavoursome. I smear all cream cheese to one half of the bagel and sandwich it with another half.
🧀The mildly sweet bagel goes perfectly with the savoury cream cheese, and the chucks of smoked salmon and onions give extra texture to each bite of the sandwiched bagel.
I am very pleased with the quality of the bagel and cream cheese and will definitely try other flavours next time.
