Although I’m not a qualified food / dessert critic, I do like to compare the same food bought from different shops. Earlier this month I got an apple turnover from Alfafa and I was a tad disappointed. Today, I went into Starbucks and got an apple cinnamon turnover, its quality juxtaposed with Alfafa’s quite starkly, dare I say! The glossy glaze on the pastry really did pose as a welcoming invitation for a bite and guess what? It is not airy at all, the dense and rich filling wasn’t over the top,
Oh and don't forget to tell the friendly staff you want it to be served hot
