Summary: Good Thai food, authentic enough considering the area (where most clientele must be mostly locals). Price wise I feel it's normal for HK island location, although considering location it might be only slightly expensive for some dishes. I could come back for the fact that it's close to my place when I want Thai food, but not for someone to travel to the place just for the food. The Goods: Food are authentic enough, but we prefer the taste to be stronger. The Goods: Food are authentic enough, but we prefer the taste to be stronger. Staffs are friendly (almost all Thais).
The Bads: The flavour is a bit neutral - Thai food should be very flavourful (sweet, salty, and sour all strong), but think it's adapted for HK preference.
Damage: The two of us ordered quite a bit and it came to HKD 372 (no +10% SC), or that's HKD 186 per person. We ordered only one lunch deal and the rest from main menu. To be honest, it was too much food and you can cut out one dish which should come to about HKD 100-140 per person.
[My review is long so I marked recommended or not recommended dishes with underline. The dishes are bolded and each section for each dish - ends with the dish photo]
The shop is tucked away in a secondary street in Shau Kei Wan area. If it wasn't because I was exploring all streets in the area you're unlikely to come by it. It's a yellow shop. Normally I wouldn't mention this but they are quite obvious - with all the art works. Besides that it's a decently decorated place, clean, and not too tight. Staffs are friendly and all seems to speak Thai.
What we ordered
We ordered only one set lunch (for the rice) and the rest from main menu - so it's probably equivalent to dinner price although it is lunch. For the lunch set, we ordered D. Fried Rice with Shrimp Paste Minced Pork (ข้าวผัดกะปิ) at HKD58 (no +10%) which comes with a drink by which we ordered ice lemon tea (normal HK style - sorry no photo). It comes with fried egg and pork floss on top, with Chinese sausages (but think it is Thai styled which is not as fatty). The fried rice itself is good, enough wok-hei, and rice is not wet. I personally think it could have more shrimp paste which will make it saltier, but understand this is probably toned down a bit for the locality.
