One of my Nepalese friends asked me to join him for dinner tonight and since both of us lived near each other, he suggested Ex-Gorkha Restaurant & Bar. It was located at Wai Ching Street, the area where alot of Nepalese lived. Shortly after we ordered, they served us a basket of complimentary cracker. It was thin in texture and very soft and crispy. It goes well with the sauce, which was sour and slightly spicy.
Mango lassi was sweet in taste and blended till smooth. It has strong mango taste as well.
Kurkure - it was fried till flavourful and full of spice. It was fried till crispy, and was chewy and crunchy as well.
Fried pork momo - This was one of their signature dishes, and was fried till the skin was crispy. The pork fillings inside was still hot, and was juicy and chewy. Sauce was slightly spicy, complimenting with the momo.
Chicken vindaloo - As we can eat spicy food, we chose the spiciest curry. It was very red in colour, and was creamy and thick in texture. It was spicy in taste and chicken was chewy and juicy, absorbing the essence of the curry.
Garlic naan has strong garlic taste, and was toasted till oily and chewy, going well with the chicken curry. Puri roti was soft and crispy in texture, going well with the curry as well.
