I have a feeling not many people might realise this: In fact, almost all Gelati sold on the market in the shops, especially the ones that says its IMPORTED from Italy or blah blah blah, are just made from combining milk with mass produced, pre-manufactured Gelati Paste. They come in big plastic buckets, tubs or sealed bags, like a concentrate. Real hand made artisanal gelati is hard to come by in Hong Kong.That's why a lot of these gelati carry some advertised taste yet somehow tastes a bit
That's why a lot of these gelati carry some advertised taste yet somehow tastes a bit unnatural, with all the chemicals, artifical flavour enhancers or syrups put into them. The good old 木田园雪糕店 was one of the relative rare ones to make all their own flavours, but that had the texture of a sorbet than real gelati! After reading Lemontea's Review below, I was happy to know this has finally opened so was extra keen to try it !

I ordered a Trio of Pistachio, Raspberry and Hokkaido Milk.
- The Pistachio gelato was very impressive, really strong natural flavours of the roasty nut ! Amazing! Probably the best I've ever eaten of this flavour and not due to pistachio syrup.
- The Rapsberry was pretty good as well, but a bit too milky rather than fruity.
- Milk Gelato was very..... neutral only? Not much strongish milkiness taste I was expecting to burst in the mouth. Unfortunately, Hokkaido milks in HK are either homogenised or pasterised, or UHT processed in advance.
A VERY GOOD GELATI SHOP.
(THE TEXTURE IS SLIGHTLY MORE ICE-CREAM AIRY THAN EXPECTED, BUT ITS AT LEAST NATURAL TASTING BUT NOT GELATI PASTE LIKE !)
