I had a great night with my boyfriend at Frites! It's recommended by many of friends and it didn't disappoint us. I love the high ceiling and benches here.Frites offers over 70 kinds of Belgian beers. The staff recommended this popular one to us. It belongs to deep amber ale which has an earthy aroma and a hint of caramelized banana.  The mussel pot is available in 1/2 kg or 1kg portion, served with fries and mayonnaise. We chose Mariniere style which is cooked in white wine, celery, garlic and mixed herbs (1/2kg). It is a classic way for cooking mussels. The mussels are all fresh and plump with creamy sauce. I especially love the crispy sourdough and fries. Just dip into the mussel pot!

 This is a signature dish here. The Australian grade pork knuckle is served with caramelized
roasted vegetables. It is really in a huge portion and I think it would be better to share among a large group. The knuckle has a slightly crispy crust but the meat is not tender enough.

 I can't imagine we finished all the knuckle
We were actually extremely full and there's no room for desserts. I should try out some when I revisit next time.
