http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=1968176 The congee here has two items that contribute strongly to the taste in the congee, pork bone with meat still on, semi-dried oysters and dried vegetables.
The colour of the congee came from the dried vegetables, and the pork meat was fresh and well flavoured, the meat fibres were distinct and pink. Apart from these ingredients, the congee was packed with other goodies, such as preserved egg and chicken gizzards.
It was 55% congee, and 45% of the other items such as oyster, pork etc.
The shop next door also serves Congee with the same ingredients, however I found that shop too chinesey and this shop looked friendlier and inviting.
The only downside was the brittle pork bones.
