Chai Rung Thai Food is one of my 2 most favorite Thai food restaurants in HK. I lived in Thailand for 1 year in 1992 and remember real Thai foods well since then, especially papaya salad with river crab. I tried a few places outside Kowloon City and was disappointed. I tied most places in Kowloon City and found here was one of only 2 Thai restaurants offering this papaya salad with river crab. Since then, I have been coming to this and another almost every weekend by myself and with friends. Min

I lived in Thailand for 1 year in 1992 and remember real Thai foods well since then, especially papaya salad with river crab. I tried a few places outside Kowloon City and was disappointed. I tied most places in Kowloon City and found here was one of only 2 Thai restaurants offering this papaya salad with river crab. Since then, I have been coming to this and another almost every weekend by myself and with friends. Minced chicken for Thai with Thai basil, minced raw beef, raw shrimp and semi-raw shellfish, steamed fish with lime and garlic, shrimp soup, etc. are all my favorite and rotation. Enjoy
