The title of this blog says it all. It's my all time favorite Sichuan spicy noodle restaurant. I'm a huge fan of spicy food and the more SPICY, the BETTER! I stumbled upon this restaurant when I got lost in one of the small alleys in Tsuen Wan. There aren't alot of people in the shop at any time of the day which I thought was really strange seeing that their dishes are super tasty.They're prices are pretty decent and my owner is pretty accomodating with any requests you have. They're prices are pretty decent and my owner is pretty accomodating with any requests you have. I once ordered Mala skewers and asked for super spicy--the owner specially made it so hot I nearly breathed fire! FUN dinner
I always order the sour and spicy noodles with different ingredients when I visit. This time I ordered mushroom balls and dried bean curd with my noodles because to be honest, a bowl of these noodles is heavy enough, I don't think you need more meat and oil to make it any denser. This tasted absolutely gorgeous like always. Medium spicy with lots of green onions and cilantro. The soup base is what I find most outstanding because out of all the Sichuan noodles I've tasted in HK, this one had the most unique flavor.
My friend ordered the Mala noodles with mushroom balls, dumplings, stewed fatty pork, and dried bean curds. I tasted it and it was bursting with flavor and Mala spiciness too too that numbed my lips. For people who likes Mala, I think you'll enjoy this very much.
We orderd a spicy chicken dish on the side. The black fungus was crunchy and well seasoned. But the chicken was only so-so because it was slightly over cooked.
Overall, love this restaurant and everything about it. The servers are nice, the owner is outgoing and chatty, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is just wonderful. Even though this restaurant has been introduced before on TV, there's never a lot of patrons there so you'll always get a spot. 张贴
