Sukiyaki MoriIf you are looking for the authentic Japanese sukiyaki in HK, Mori is your place! The restaurant is well known for its iconic shot of the oumi wagyu beef plate. If you are looking for the authentic Japanese sukiyaki in HK, Mori is your place! The restaurant is well known for its iconic shot of the oumi wagyu beef plate.
For sukiyaki dinner set, it features appetiser, steamed dish, seasonal vegetable plate, three cuts of wagyu/pork, fried rice and dessert ($730 per person). We have also ordered the ox tongue this time (+$100). The steamed egg is creamy and smooth. Everything is nicely prepared and cooked by the chef on the black iron pot. The beef is thinly sliced and looked absolutely gorgeous, they are with good proportion of fats and just melt in the mouth, with an intense beef flavour. Delicious with simple seasoning, just a sprinkle of sugar and housemade sukiyaki sauce. Most impressed with the sirloin among those three pieces. By the time the wagyu fried rice is served, I am full already but could not resist the rice bits, the minced beef helps adding more flavour to the rice. The complimentary milk pudding with red bean mochi roll is quite nice. Overall a pleasant and satisfying sukiyaki experience, highly recommended!
Side note: Prior reservation is required (phone call/in person). Mori starts taking bookings for the next month on the first day of the previous month.
