BEWARE! This is the WORST restaurant ever! I wished I read the reviews about this restaurant before we went there.Our usual Sunday late lunch (after kids' activities) is going to our favorite wonton noodle shop, which was unfortunately closed today. As we were quite hungry, I didn't bother to look into restaurant reviews. Anyway, what can go wrong with a chinese restaurant??? Well, in this restaurant, everything's wrong. Food served are inedible, service horrible, and highly overpriced!!!
We ordered the following: club sandwich, oyster omelette, minced beef congee, fried fish with tomato sauce, milk tea, and lemon tea. Prices below are approximate
Club sandwich (45 HKD) - composed for three layers of STALE white bread (very dry), a thin slice of overfried luncheon meat, a slice of ham, a thin layer of fried egg, a thick slice of tomatoes, and a very thin layer of margarine. The sandwich was not even toasted. Not edible. Worst sandwich ever. 45 HKD for this, no way!
Oyster omelette (small size, 88 HKD) - too oily, and hardly any oysters! And they call it oyster omelette??? For 88 HKD, it's a rip-off! It's not even worth 20 HKD!!!
Sliced beef congee (48 HKD) - this is what we got, despite ordering minced beef congee. The sliced beef were tasteless and very rubbery. The congee was also tasteless (not salty, not sweet, nothing) and very watery, not the velvety congee the cantonese version is known for. Even chlorinated water is more tasty than this congee! Again, not edible!
Fried fish with tomato sauce (48 HKD) - I initially got fried fish with corn sauce, and I told the waiter that this wasn't what I ordered. He angrily insisted that I ordered with corn sauce, and I said no, I ordered with tomato sauce. So the waiter angrily took the fish with corn sauce, returned a few minutes later with tomato sauce with bits of corn on it. Horrible!!! The fish was too oily and salty (i think it's the batter used in frying the fish), and the tomato sauce tasteless - I mean it's neither sour, sweet, nor salty - I really can't explain it!
题外话/补充资料：
Will never go back to this restaurant. Ever. Most of the people eating there look like tourists! This restaurant gives a very bad impression on HK food!
