Blessed to have a birthday dinner here 😊The view was really nice and the sky was so clear cuz it was raining all day. We even got to watch the light show at 8pm and there was this Japanese show filming the light show too which I thought was pretty cool 😮.We started off with oysters that were selected by the chef. We started off with oysters that were selected by the chef. My uncle ordered 3 crunchy oysters and 1 creamy oyster for us. When the oysters were placed in front of us, the server introduced where each oyster was from. Before, I didn't really like raw oysters, but wow, after eating these, I fell in love 😍 It was my first oyster tasting so I didn't know that you're supposed to eat the oysters in a certain order so I randomly chose one and then my aunt told me that I should start off with the other one since the the taste wasn't as strong.. I also didn't know what to do with the white bag that was in the ice, so my cousin motioned me to squeeze it over the oysters, and then i realized that it was lemon 😂 I feel so unsophisticated 😅
After the oyster tasting, we got salad/mozzarella cheese and blue cheese as an appetizer (but i forgot to take a picture oops). Tbj, I don’t know if we got salad or mozzarella cheese cuz what came was a ball of mozzarella cheese the size of my fist with some raw veggies and tomatoes, so not exactly a salad cuz there was so little veggies haha. The mozzarella cheese was creamy and smooth and not too salty, but wow, it was really filling.
Most of the dishes were seafood, but my cousin, his wife, and I ordered a huge beef steak for all of us to share. I don’t remember how much it weighs, but it was bigger than my face. We were barely able to eat half of it haha. We got medium rare, and it was nicely cooked. The steak was really juicy, soft, and not too burnt on the outside. You can ask the servers for mustard too and they had many different kinds to choose from. I just used the gravy that came with the dish haha. I'm not sure if the potatoes and tomatoes came with the dish or if my cousin ordered those on the side.
For dessert, they prepared a mango cheesecake for my birthday! After I blew out the candle, the server popped open another bottle of champagne (rip me cuz I can’t handle alcohol very well haha). I was so red after all the wine and champagne and pretty sleepy. The mango cheesecake was delicious~ it was so smooth and creamy.
The waiter was planning to give us sweet Chinese walnut soup after the cake, but we were so full and didn't want to waste food. He insisted us to eat watermelon though because it will be refreshing after the heavy cake and so we agreed. The 1st piece of watermelon was normal, the 2nd had some sea salt on it (it was a little too salty for me though), and the 3rd had honey and sea salt (this piece didn't really suite my tastebuds though 😅).
I really enjoyed dining here! Not only was the food delicious, the service was the best! The servers were extremely nice and always came by to make sure everything was going well and just to talk to us.
