My girlfriend booked a table for my birthday with 7 friends. Food took over an hour and a half to arrive even though restaurant is small and they got one of the steak orders wrong, we didn't send back as it had taken so long to get the food in the first place and we didnt want to have one person waiting while we ate. My girlfriend booked a table for my birthday with 7 friends. Food took over an hour and a half to arrive even though restaurant is small and they got one of the steak orders wrong, we didn't send back as it had taken so long to get the food in the first place and we didnt want to have one person waiting while we ate.

The sides that came with the food were terrible. Asparagus was 4 asparagus sticks boiled with nothing on them. Mushrooms weren't cooked and came in water. Brussel sprouts were ok but came in a lot of water too, we sent sprouts back and asked them to remove the water, they kicked up a massive fuss about this small request even though we had accepted the wrong order of steak. The tomato salad was the worst thing I have ever seen, it was a plate of roughly chopped beef tomotatoes with a small amount of lettuce for $90 with no dressing. We asked about this and the chef came out to begrudgingly give us olive oil and balsamic vinager, as and after thought, which was clearly meant for a bread backet (which they didn't offer us when we arrived). Truffle chips were just plain chips cooked in regular oil, nothing truffle about them.

Steaks weren't good cuts for the price and were cooked badly. I would expect the ribeye to come with the bone (cowboy cut) but I can appreciate that it might be an American restuarant and that it may come without (as they tend to do in the US) although the chef claimed food was French. The chef came out again, his top covered in stains and looked moody about us sending sprouts back and blamed us for waitress taking wrong steak order.

We asked for them to take the sides off the bill, they refused and chef came out again (after changing his heavily soiled chef whites) and all the staff joined together intimidatingly. The chef said that it was a local restuarant and that as expats ('gweilos') we should have eaten somewhere else.

This was a new restuarant and that is why my girlfriend chose it. It won't last long, that's gauranteed.
