Several of my friends have visited this cafe before, they all said the food served here are fabulous. So here I came tonight to try it out and see if it's really that good😚 Unlike other cafes, this one has very simple interior decors which offers a down-to-earth vibe. Staff are super friendly, they went to every table to introduce their menu. Very heart-warming act, appreciate that!

After reading the menu, we decided to pick three mains and one appetiser to share. We added $48 to upgrade the mains into sets, which included a sakura prawn soup, a drink and a dessert. We chose secret fries as our appetizer and ordered omelette risotto with Japanese style grilled eel, pasta mantaiko cream sauce with scallop and roe, clams pasta Aglio olio with soft shell crab as mains. For drinks, we ordered one Oreo chocolate, two tofu matcha latte and one iced lemon tea. They were also doing a promotion in July where you can get 2 slow-cooked abalone with just $1. That’s a very good deal and of course we didn’t miss it.

The slow cooked abalone and soup came to table first. I didn’t try the soup but it smelled nice. Sprinkled with some herbs and black pepper on top, soup itself looked thick and creamy. Abalones’ texture was just perfect, chewy but not rubbery! Good job! Next came the indulgent drink, Oreo crumbs and cream were added on top the rich iced chocolate, sweetness was just right after diluting by the melted ice. As a Oreo and chocolate lover, I enjoy this drink a lot🍫☺️💕

Secret fries was a surprise, it came with parsley and dried chillies on the plate. Crispy outside and mushy inside. Fried golden but not oily at not, couldn’t stop eating once started. It didn’t turn soft or soggy even it got cold, highly recommended👍🏻 Next was the risotto, a whole slice of grilled eel was served, very generous! It also came with some seaweed and bonito flakes on top, which added extra savouriness to the dish. Risotto was a bit dry but the omelette egg was perfectly cooked, silky and smooth! The two complement well with each other🤝🏻 The mantaiko cream sauce pasta was overbearingly rich and creamy, mayonnaise was also added apart from cream. It was quite cloying when I had more🙁 I didn’t enjoy the clams pasta too, it tasted exactly like the thai sweet chill sauce which wasn’t my cup of tea.

Finally it’s desserts time, we picked yuzu cheesecake, milk tea sponge cake and hazelnut mocha sponge cake. Yuzu one was unexpectedly refreshing, the sweetness and sourness of yuzu complemented well with cheese. Milk tea and hazelnut mocha one were just average, not remarkable!

Overall it was a satisfying meal! Food was on point, service was excellent and price was reasonable!
