Have been to Tapas Bar a few times over the years. This is the first time that both the service and the food were truly awful enough to force me to write a review. We sat outside since our party had two children and kids (apparently) are not allowed in the main dining area, Despite waving our arms around for several minutes, it was nearly impossible to get service. Finally the lead waitress/manager came around and slammed some small dishes of peanuts and snacks on our table and then rushed away.

I was shocked at how rude she was. She then proceeded to do the same thing with our drinking glasses. I couldn't believe it. I expect this kind of service at a cha chaan teng where we are spending $40/ph - not at a 5-star hotel. We finally got our order taken and the food started to arrive at a rapid pace. All of it was tasteless and unremarkable. It felt like everything was pre-prepared and simply heated through and thrown onto a plate. We had the brie & fig on toast, prawns in garlic, pineapple pizza, croquettes, patatas bravas, chorizo, peri-peri chicken skewers, french fries, paella (very small), deep-fried squid (slightly fishy in taste). lamb meatballs. The pizza was particularly disappointing, barely larger than the size of a tortilla and at $108, hardly enough to feed even one child.  Every time we tried to flag down service during the meal, the staff rushed by in a harried manner, saying they would get back to us. Sure, it was a bit busy. It was Friday night after all. But surely it was no different than any other Friday night?! I really could not understand why the staff kept throwing dishes onto our table and then rushing off without even clearing the empty plates. This is not a local dim sum place! The only saving grace was the lovely bottle of New Zealand Pinot Noir that we ordered (though we selected that ourself with no assitance from the restaurant staff). Really an embarrassing experience, especially since we were entertaining guests from out of town. Will not go back and cannot recommend.
题外话/补充资料: Sit inside and don't go on a Friday night
