There is a place called Chicken Factory that sells exactly that ... chicken. Either in sets with rice or just one whole chicken. You can choose roasted or Hainan style or Sichaun style. The place is very small and most people go here for take away. There are a few seats but it's very cramped.Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. I ordered the Hainan Chicken Rice set ($48). This came with a soup that was pretty terrible. It literally had no flavor and just tasted like water.
However, the chicken fared much better. The chicken was moist and tender and nicely seasoned. It came with a Thai sour and spicy dipping sauce. There were crunchy pickles. And lots of rice that was seasoned well and not too oily. For $48, quite a good bargain. Boyfriend ordered the Sichuan chicken and it was actually the same except they give you the Sichuan chili oil to pour on top.
Quite a good bargain. Would probably try the roast chicken next time.
