McDonald's has a new pie out ... this time it's coconut. Boyfriend and I were in North Point doing some Invader street art hunting. Hot and tired, we came in here and found that McDonald's was doing a buy one get one free pie a la mode. The only catch was you had to order the same pie. So, we chose the new flavor ... coconut. But even though you had to choose the same pie, you could choose different sauces : chocolate, strawberry and sesame. But whatever the case ... it was a good deal! One pie
The coconut pie was in a black pie case that tasted exactly like the regular apple pie. The coconut was a coconut cream with nada de coco bits inside. It was overly sweet and I didn't like it. However, I chose black sesame sauce and that was pretty good. Mixing it with the ice cream, it went together really well.
