Coffee that tastes like sweet water

On the search for great coffee, our trail brought us to The Cupping Room.  Apparently, this place is a barista award winner, so it has been on our radar for a while.  We finally got to try out the coffee and were hugely disappointed.We ordered a latte and a flat white and were presented with a pretty little cup of coffee.  Unfortunately, as is often the case with these places in Hong Kong, it was style over substance.  They were basically cups of milk with a dribble of coffee.  It was a 'coffee-

We ordered a latte and a flat white and were presented with a pretty little cup of coffee.  Unfortunately, as is often the case with these places in Hong Kong, it was style over substance.  They were basically cups of milk with a dribble of coffee.  It was a 'coffee-style drink', rather than coffee.  

I wouldn't return here.  The two best places in Hong Kong are N.O.T. Speciality Coffee and 18 Grams.  Withe the formar having the edge over the latter.  If you want decent coffee in HK, then they are the safest options.
