They have a wide selection of cakes which mimic many of the local foods like lemon tea and pineapple bun. Flavours were not too sweet (typical HK style where mousse and fondants are scaled back in sugar). I hesitated with these type of ‘realistic’ cakes where many tend to have thick fondants and have terrible sponge innards, normally focused on form rather than substance.

Ansel’s cakes were very well flavoured/balanced with classic Asian flavours like pandan, lemon grass and tea flavours. The fondant is thin, soft and not chewy, and while some parts look like fondant it is actually thin layers of chocolate hence overall a very well made treat.
