Donuts isn't as famous compare other dessert in Hong Kong. Was walking around fortress hill and a pungent deep frying smell drew my attention. Looking up seeing this cute donut shop, I knew I will grab some even I just ate.They served variety donuts with special flavours, such as pistachio, matcha, coconut, crème brûlée etc. I picked cinnamon balls and lemon tea. Cinnamon balls was my all time favourite donut flavour. Each uniform balls were bite sized. You could smell the cinnamon even it was packed up in box. Doughball itself was deep fried nicely, soft and not greasy. Not too sweet. Portion wise was kind of small, around 5 balls😅 I wish to have couple more...(sounds greedy but it's a good sign😂)
Lemon tea donut was alright. I could taste the lemon flavour but can be stronger. I couldn't taste the tea at all, maybe just visually inside the dough and sprinkled. Same dough texture as cinnamon balls, perfectly cooked. Moist and airy.
All in all, not a bad attempt but price indeed slight higher for a donut. Will try other flavours next time.
