Customer service lacking

We booked into Bombay Dreams on the recommendation of a friend. The food was great but the service was awful. We were seated next to a large table making a lot of noise. We could barely hear each other and so asked to move and were told all other tables were reserved. We then called over a man who appeared to be the manager and were told we could move to the next table but that all other tables were booked. We booked into Bombay Dreams on the recommendation of a friend. The food was great but the service was awful. We were seated next to a large table making a lot of noise. We could barely hear each other and so asked to move and were told all other tables were reserved. We then called over a man who appeared to be the manager and were told we could move to the next table but that all other tables were booked. We moved to the next table as the noise levels from the large table nearby were awful. Another group of diners were then seated at our previous table and shortly asked to move for the same reason and yet nothing was said to the problem table. To be fair the food was very nice but it was difficult to enjoy it given the noise. When the bill came we saw that service charge had been added and so called over the manager to request that it be taken off. No apology was offered and he simply acknowledged that the nearby table had been a problem, no apology was given. When we tried to provide feedback on why we were so annoyed (i.e - two tables had asked to be moved but the restaurant had said nothing to the problem table), the manager said nothing and walked off to adjust the bill. We would not go again due to the service. We fully appreciate that large tables tend to be noisy but there are ways and means of dealing with the situation. The restuarant failed to provide basic levels of good service.
