This place is an accidental treasure find. I was just walking around Tsim Sha Tsui, looking for a place to have a little something to eat before dinner when I passed by its welcoming doors. I decided to go in. Unfortunately for me, I was about 30 minutes too early in arriving - their specialty udon is not available until after 6pm. I ended up ordering the recommended udon (chicken and seafood) that was then available. I'm glad I listened to the server who made this recommendation. It was superb! The soup was so creamy and flavourful. And they did not scrimp on the chicken and seafood in the udon soup; it was plentiful.
I also ordered their scallops with black truffles. This one literally melted in my mouth. Although the butter is heart attack-inducing in richness, it did not in any way steal the truffle's thunder. They complemented each other very well to produce one of the best scallop dishes I've ever had.
They seem to be specializing in black truffles when I went, and I also tried the chicken skin and pork skewer with truffles. The chicken skin was crispy to perfection, the pork was tender and juicy, and the dollop of black truffles on top gave it a twangy taste all its own.
I am definitely coming back to try more of their skewers and appetizers and that specialty udon I missed the first time around.
