It was my birthday and boyfriend and I came here for cake as I always wanted to come here but every time I was here, it was always closed. Well ... apparently on this day it was open! But majority of the cakes were already sold out!!!!The shop is a very small with a quaint pastel green color. The inside is a simple cake shop and few chairs. The shop is a very small with a quaint pastel green color. The inside is a simple cake shop and few chairs. They have cake sets where you get a cake and pot of tea but as it was too hot for tea, we only opted for one slice of cake.
Rose Chiffon Cake ($44). We got to sample a few pieces of cakes without the cream before we decided on the rose chiffon one. The cake was soft and fluffy with a delicate taste of rose. The cream was not too sweet and had a faint taste of rose as well. The only thing that was horrible was the actual wafer rose. It tasted like chewy plastic.
Overall, ok as chiffon cakes go. It's a rather large slice of cake. Would return if I was in the area again.
