About a year ago we dined at Oyster & Wine Bar which was just next door, when we passed by Sky Lounge and it seemed to be such a nice place for good drinks at night time with great view This time we came for afternoon tea with a table at the windows reserved just a few days ago.Despite the not-so-nice weather, the view was still pretty amazing! Despite the not-so-nice weather, the view was still pretty amazing! It was so nice over-looking the busy avenue of the stars just downstairs.
Almost all commentaries seemed to be about the afternoon tea set. This time we decided not to try the tea set but ordered a few items from the main menu. The menu given to us was a tablet. We ordered one salad, two desserts and one set of scones to share. Almost all other diners seemed to have ordered an afternoon tea set.

The ingredients of the salad were of quite high quality. We could tell that the cherry tomatoes were very fresh and sweet. There were plenty of feta cheese, though a bit salty by itself, which went well with the salad.

Maybe you can tell I am really a big ban of chocolates. This one is pretty nice for chocolate lovers. The chocolate ice cream was really tasty. The chocolate brownies were ok too. For some reason the white chocolate flakes were missing, only brown chocolate flakes were left. Yet it was no big deal. The only thing bad was that the marshmallows were way too sweet.

The vanilla ice cream was quite tasty as well. The profiteroles were a little bit crispy surprisingly, unlike those average profiteroles out there! Indeed it was another nice plate of dessert, with loads of sprinkles on it yet not overly sweet! To pick bones from an egg, there was a little bit too much chocolate sauce though.

Scones with clotted cream & strawberry jam
This item was not on the menu. We asked for scones only and the server told us the price. The presentation of the cream and jam was so not pleasant. Indeed they were not particularly good. The strawberry jam was very average while the clotted cream was not really so up-to-standard. The scones themselves, although a bit small, were surprisingly good. They were slightly crunchy on the surface and didn't break apart easily. They were of the right degree of sweetness with sufficient butter too, definitely better than those I recently had at Ebb & Flow.

With the decent food and superb view, I would say the price was not expensive! However, service could really have been better as the servers seemed so busy running around who could have been more polite in answering questions/offering help. That said, it didn't mean the service was bad as the servers still managed to do what you asked for and also changed your eating utensils after a few dishes. Would definitely consider coming back later on special occasions.
