How come so few people left comments for Island Gourmet? Yes it's us again after a few months.We wanted to try a sliced cake and happened to see this Dulce de Leche which seemed to be new.There was also a whole cake of this flavour.Dulce de Leche (Sugar dough with baked Philadelphia cream cheese mousse and dulce de leche jelly)I couldn’t tell what it really was until I asked. I couldn’t tell what it really was until I asked. I was told there were two layers of cheese (seems a bit different from the official description above). Then immediately decided to try it out because I was such a big fan of cheese cake. The cheese was so smooth with a refreshing lemon flavour. It was not overly sweet or greasy at all. Although I usually preferred thick cheese, I found this ok. Quite delicious indeed. The macaron, the flavour of which should be lime I guess, was not particularly outstanding though.

Also ordered a raisin danish for my son who quickly finished it. So you could tell it must be really good.
The server was so nice to ask if we would like it to be served hot.

Last but not the least, couldn't help not ordering their scones again. I am not going to repeat how good they are in details. They were good as always. We actually ordered 8 scones altogether (half raisin and half original). One bad thing about the clotted cream was that one pot was like melting so the clotted cream was not hard enough with some water flowing out. Hard clotted cream was way better!
Service was pretty good as always. The manager (I think) was so considerate that she offered us a sofa seating when it became available. She helped instruct other servers to serve water which was less hot for my kids. She also asked other servers to help us take a photo for us when she saw us taking photos for ourselves. Really top-notch service!
